Hello everyone. May name is Shawn Gibson and my wife Susan and I run a small pottery shop in Rennert, North Carolina where three generations of family create beautiful work. My mother, Sheila Richardson and eleven year old daughter Sabrina are the other artists / potters working in the shop creating true NC pottery at its finest. We make unique and one of a kind pieces you will not find anywhere.
Our work has been exhibited in several Art Galleries and is currently showcased in the Hamlet Gallery on gallery row in Charleston, South Carolina. We also attend multiple shows and festivals around the east coast year round. Our pieces range from hand built to hand thrown on the wheel. Some are carved, cutout and plain pieces. The pieces range from bowls, platters, vases, business card holders, tea lites, and lanterns.
We also fire Raku pieces in the one step, two step, naked, Saggar, Ferric Chloride and horse hair and other organic additions. It is truly impossible to describe our work, you'll have to visit our site to see for yourself. You can view our work on our site gallery and store at www.carolinapotterycreations.com and see for yourself the craftsmanship and beauty of our work. We have recently listed some new pieces on the site for sale. Come browse and see some truly stunning and fine pottery.
